Roast my website
A good roast hurts for a minute and saves you months. Run this checklist on your own site first. Then let seven AI personas tell you what you can no longer see yourself.
Roast it yourself in ten minutes
- The five second test. Open your homepage and look away after five seconds. Could a stranger say what it is, who it is for and what to do next?
- The «so what» test. Read your headline aloud and add «so what?». If the next sentence does not answer that, it is about you, not your customer.
- The buzzword count. Cross out every word that a competitor could use too. Innovative, tailored, passionate. What is left?
- The price hunt. Time how long it takes to find what it costs. If you hide it, people assume the worst.
- The phone test. Use your site on a phone with one hand, on mobile data. Do the buttons work? Does the text fit?
- The trust check. Who is behind this? Is there a real address, a real face and a way to reach a human?
- The next step. Is there one obvious action on every page, or five that compete?
Why a roast is not enough
Most roast tools give you one snapshot, and a sharp one is fun to read. But people rarely decide on the first visit. They come back, compare, forget you, or tell a friend. A single look cannot show that.
Let seven personas live with it
Tyllara is a simulated planet. Seven AI personas with everyday lives experience your site for months: a nurse, a project manager, a designer, an electrician, a student, a retired carpenter and a teenager. They come back or leave, and tell you why. A million simulated people show who finds your site through search, ads or word of mouth. You get a report with scores, findings, what to do first and the personas in their own words.
Everything is a simulation meant as a help, not a measurement and not a forecast. The app and the reports are in German for now; your browser can translate them. The first three minutes of every run are free.
Questions
Is this free?
The checklist is. In Tyllara, the first three minutes of every run are free, and a full half year with report costs CHF 20 during the beta.
Will the personas be rude?
No. They are honest in their own way, and some are more patient than others. Language models lean towards being polite, which is why reasons matter more than scores. Read more about synthetic users.
